Welcome to My Web Design Journey Hi, I’m the founder of My Web Design Journey. As a late-diagnosed AuDHD individual, I spent years trying to fit into traditional work environments that weren't built for my brain. I discovered that web design isn't just a career—it’s a sanctuary for the neurodivergent mind. Why Web Design Fits the ND Brain In a world that can feel unpredictable and overstimulating, web design offers a unique level of sovereignty. This is a craft that rewards the hyper-focus and pattern-recognition strengths of the ADHD and Autistic brain, while removing the barriers of a typical 9-to-5. Environmental Control: You choose the lighting, the noise level, and the sensory input of your workspace. Autonomous Timing: Whether you hit your stride at noon or find your flow in the quiet of the middle of the night, you work when your brain is at its sharpest. Deep Focus, Solo Work: Web design allows for the deep, uninterrupted "flow state" that many neurodivergent people thrive in, free from the constant social performance of an office. Control Your Pace: Build at the speed that works for you, managing projects in a way that respects your energy and your process. My Mission I created this site to document my journey and show other neurodivergent individuals that a career in tech doesn't have to be overwhelming. It can be a way to build a life on your own terms, in your own time, and in a space you control.
